In the last 15 years Central Oregon has exploded onto the national golf scene. There are desert-style courses at Pronghorn and Juniper. Classic, mountain layouts at Black Butte Ranch. Wetland courses in Sunriver and Prineville. And plenty of tight, tree-lined fairways in Bend itself. In fact, PointsWest is only 50 yards from the tee box at Widgi Creek.

What Locals Know:

If you’re playing Widgi Creek, leave the driver in the car. That course demands precision, not power. For a great golf value, check out some of the courses outside of Bend, such as Meadow Lakes in Prineville, Quail Run in LaPine, Juniper in Redmond, and Aspen Lakes near Sisters.
